Ah, how stereotypes abound. And while we applaud the strides that our modern society has made, there is still one fallacy that seems to persist. This is the attitude that \u201cyoga is just for women,\u201d and many men shy away from yoga, not because the benefits of yoga don\u2019t apply to them, but because they don\u2019t want to be \u201cthat guy\u201d in a class full of women.<\/p>\n

Indeed, in 2012, 83 percent of the yoga practitioners in the United States were women, according to the Yoga Journal<\/a>. Fortunately, even this is now changing. Yoga has become very popular with men in New York City, and this trend is now migrating towards Boston.<\/p>\n
