Mini FAQs

I’m new to fitness. Do I need experience to join a class?

Not at all. Many of our classes—such as gentle yoga —are perfect for beginners. All of our classes are designed with newcomers in mind, offering levels of difficulty to suit everyone's needs.  Our instructors will guide you at your own pace, and offer modifications if desired.

What should I bring to class?

We recommend comfortable workout clothes, water, and a towel. For yoga and Pilates, you can bring your own mat and props, but we also have shared mats and props available at the studio.

How do I know which class is right for me?

It depends on your goals:

  • Yoga is great for strength and flexibility, stress relief, and mindfulness.  Get away from it all and afterwards feel refreshed, calm and focused.

  • Pilates (mat or reformer) builds core strength, tones the midsection, and improves posture. Start feeling results after just a few classes.

  • Barre is a blast of cardio that strengthens and tones core and leg muscles and improves posture and balance. Very empowering.

  • Spin/indoor cycling delivers a cardio-focused, high-energy workout.  With some sweat and a friendly environment it's a great indoor option to boost your cardio.

  • Muscle conditioning offers some cardio and develops overall strength, tones the whole body, and improves posture and balance. Our instructors are happy to make recommendations based on your needs.

  • Personal Training is intended to be focused on just you - it can be tuned to your individual needs and goals.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Yes, we recommend reserving your spot through our online schedule, especially for smaller classes like reformer Pilates where space is limited.  For personal training, we recommend that you contact us to discuss schedules and your goals before signing up.

How long are classes?

All classes are a full 60 minutes. Private or small-group training sessions can vary depending on your goals and booking.  It helps to arrive a few minutes early.

What if I have an injury or physical limitation?

Please let your instructor know before class so modifications can be provided. Our team is experienced in adapting workouts for different needs, but please contact your personal physician if you have serious injuries.

Do you offer private or small group sessions?

Yes, we offer private, duet, and small group training, most often for Pilates reformer and yoga. Personal Training is ideal for a targeted personalized experience.

What are your membership and pricing options?

We offer flexible options including drop-in classes, multi-class packs, and monthly memberships. You can check our Pricing page , and if you're ready to begin you can sign up on-line .

Is there parking at the studio?

Yes, we have convenient on-site parking for all members and guests, at both the front and rear entrances.  We recommend using the entrance closest to Route 9.

Simple Guide to Fitness Classes at Every Body Balance

Group classes are a great way to stay motivated, meet new people, and learn proper form under the guidance of an expert instructor. You’ll get structure, encouragement, and a variety of workouts to help you stay motivated.

Tips for Classes:

  1. Arrive a Few Minutes Early – Give yourself time to meet the instructor and get familiar with our space.

  2. Mats to Share:  Most people bring their own mat, but we have mats to share as well.

  3. Wear Comfortable Clothing – Opt for breathable fabrics; sticky non-slip socks preferred, but you can do classes in bare feet.

  4. Spin Footwear – For Spin classes, indoor, solid-bottom footwear is best.   Spin shoes are optional; sneakers work just fine.

  5. Bring Water – Staying hydrated is key.  Filtered bottle refill is available.

  6. Listen to Your Body – Take breaks when you need them and don’t push past your limits.

  7. Ask Questions – Our instructors love helping new members feel confident.

  8. Showers - Our studio location includes mens and women's showers.  Bring your own towels.
